Weather Live App Reviews

There’s nothing more annoying than an app/developer that begs for app store reviews. Well, here it is. One star for you. Also, it would be nice if your app allowed the user to click a day and see the forecast information for that day, to include sun/moon rise and set. Update: 18NOV15 - I thought this app was bad because it begs for app store reviews, until it started begging me to download their alarm clock app as well. Then I knew it was bad. Delete!

i dont know why it cant find my accurate location (Iran), just the country. really disappointing!!

I love this app its bright, colorful and too the point. A must have.

For a pay weather app, I think they should show the percent chance of rain for the days in the rest of the week. Its nice that they have a small rain icon, but that doesn’t tell me much in terms of chance of rain. Also, the option to expand the days in the rest of week would be nice, also hourly wind would be good. For a pay app i’d expect atleast these BASIC options.

While a great weather app, the program begs for app store review and flaunt promotions for it’s other products. If it were a free app, I’d put up with it. But I paid for this version, and expect to not have to deal with these adds. I don’t have to deal with this in any of my other apps purchased through the Mac App Store. Shame on you developers!

This app gives me more or less what I need when I first start up my computer in the morning. I’m a little concerned about it’s accuracy and it’s features seem a bit basic for a $5 app. I expected more bangs for the bucks and more bells and whistles. I’m also tempted to take away a couple more stars because it keeps popping up windows that try to sell me additional apps…but maybe in a future update, there will be the option to turn off the ads?

Everyday I open my laptop to get the latest and most accurate weather report. I have finally found an app that does that. it is called Weather Live. Wherever I am located and whenever I’m able to, I have access to up to the minute weather report. A simple easy to read and accurate weather report. If you need to know what the weather forecast will be for the area you are at or a destination you are headed to or just curious of what happening somewhere else you got the right app. Weather live hasn’t failed be yet and its a great tool to use for you’re day, I highly recommend it.

I was really thrilled when I first got this app to have it in my dock to check the weather. I loved that it had temp notification, so cool. It was working fine at first but then noticed that app would really slow down the startup of my mac. Even if I select don’t launch at startup it always does. Also I noticed the weather reports really being inaccurate at times, not sure whose network this app is powered by. Wish I had not wasted money on this app. Im back to using my built in dashboard to check weather on my mac.

Sometimes it doesnt open even though it’s set to open when you boot the computer. When it does, it works very well. For me, ideally it would just open to display on the menu bar.

I was hopeful when I purchased this app, but it doesn’t update accurately. Today, the app said it was 69 degrees, but it was only 46.

I like the application, but stop the pop ups that try to sell me other products that your company has. The latest popup was Speak & Translate, it completely locked up Weather Live. Had to completly shut down Weather Live and restart to get rid of the ad. When I pay full price for an application, I do not appreciate being bombarded with upsales or request to rate the app.

It is currently 9:07 am on December 30 here. Weather Live reports tht it is 5:16 pm on December 30 here and in Chicago which is is in a different time zone. I don’t use the app to get the time but this needs to be fixed. Weather information is fine and is displayed with style.

I have purchased the upgrade and you don’t show that I have and keep wanting to buy it again. Please fix this and I will give it a good rating.

Yea, keeps crashing. Had to restart several times a day during recent snowzilla. Regret buying it.

Apple’s latest OS update broke my favorite menu bar weather apps, so I went looking and found Weather Live. I don’t care much about windowed weather data, I just want a menu bar display. This app provides that. However, the windows actually bother me, as there is no persistence to location, and the linkage between the menu bar display and the window is spurious, to say the least. What cost this app multiple stars is the fact that it inserts itself into the startup process and hides there, making it difficult to remove. It also ignores preference settings; I turned off notifications, but I still get notifications. I turned off the start at login preference, but it still starts at login. This is not the way a well-behaved app works; its behavior is intrusive and almost virus-like. There is a nice GUI to the program, and it looks friendly enough. If the developer would make it more Mac-like, I’d give it more stars.
