Weather Live App Reviews

I first had the mobile version of this app. It is awesome, gives much more information than the desktop. For example, the moblie version gives you updates and information wind direction and speed, relative humidity and precipitation as well as information on Hurricanes and such - but all this is NOT on the desktop. On this you just get the one little screen with none of the other information that is on the mobile app. So, I have this on my desktop, but rarely confer with it - since my iPhone has much more information on it with the mobile app. If you want a better app - get the mobile version, as it’s much better.

I noticed after updating to MacOS High Sierra that the notifications for this app cannot be deleted even if I disable them in Notifications. I hope it gets fixed soon.

What a major mistake for me. The site identifies my location as a community unfamiliar to me, 60 mi. away. It does recognize my true community and a neighboring one as places that really exist. I have contacted the site company to request a refund and either way, I want it off my computer. I will find something else.

I have been using the free version for a couple of years. It has been giving me the weather where I live, Delmar, NY. I just spent 5.00 and upgraded. I tried to add where I live to it and it tells me it can’t find it. So, the free version can find my location but the 5.00 upgrade can’t. Somebody please tell me how a more full featured version is incapable of functioning as good as the free version. Really !! UPDATE (5/29/2016): About 2 months ago the app couldn’t find any of the cities that I had loaded into the preferences. When I start it up it gives me the warning that it can’t find my city. When I load a city into it, it doesn’t save it so I have to go thru the whole process everytime it starts. After I load it, it doesn’t display the info correctly. Very buggy. I have emailed the creator of the app numerous times and they have been unable to come up with a solution. I find it hard to believe that I am the only one having this issue. Again, the free version works perfectly. The only good thing about this app is that their customer service does get back to me promptly. Note: This app is installed on an iMac, 64 bit processor, running OSX 10.9.5.

As an avid RC Pilot of fun aircraft it is important to know what is going to happen for the next couple of hours before packing up the car and heading to the flying field. It works well enough. Wish the hourly had a little more resolution so 4 stars for no option; but guessing the source data is also not that accurate anyhow. NIce looking, easy to use; I run it as an App and then close it.

The app is very annoying. I already paid for this - why should I see advertisement? Overall quality is also far from being exciting.

Shows 31 degree C , when it is really 22 degree —

I only bought this app, because of the option to show the weather in the “sidebar”, the notification center. But there, you only see - ° everywhere… or a blank screen.

Would be wonderful if the weather info would not disappear whenever the app get minimized, forcing me to re-launch the app to get it back. I’m on the Yosemite Beta right now, so let’s hope that’s the issue. But right now it’s a bit useless...

Ever since I had upgraded to OS X Yosemite, Weather Live no longer works nor is compatible. Which is unfortunate because it was working beautifully on the previous OS X 9.5 for my MacBook Pro. Please catch up, upgrade and fix it. Otherwise I’m going to request a refund.

Just upgraded my Mavericks 10 to Yosimite on my 2012 13” Macbook pro (4GB RAM, 2.5 GHz Intel i5) last night and since then the weather live app is continously crashing and doesn’t show any weather update in the app screen. I thought that the apps will be updated in line with the new OS. my other apps are working fine but this app is just giving me bad mood. I love this app but if its not fixed then i’ll have to look for another better and stable option.

Mostly fixed for Yosemite, but completely breaks when it asks you to leave a feedback in the App Store. You can click the buttons “OK” or “Cancel” but absolutely nothing happens when you click either. The pop up will remain there, and the App Store will not open. Still an improvement, because it’s atleast somewhat usuable now. 1 star upgraded to 2 stars.

Doesn’t show detailed forecast for tomorrow or any other day of the coming week.

Works better in Yosemite. Would like to see a current location default

I love weather and I love seeing the Weather Live forecasts pop up on my computer screen as soon as I turn it on. The forecasts are in real time and you know what kind of clothes to wear. Today get your rainwear out, but moderate temps, so nothing too heavy.

This is a nice little app with a pleasant interface. I would like to see a more detailed forecast for the upcoming days.
